Woodford Reserve Opens New Welcome Center

Versailles, Ky (June 12, 2019) — Woodford Reserve Distillery has opened a new Welcome Center to accommodate the more than 150,000 visitors it receives where Horse Country meets Bourbon Country each year.

The building, a modern take on a traditional Bluegrass farmhouse set amid the rolling hills of Central Kentucky, is now where visitors start their tour.  The current Visitor’s Center will remain the location for bourbon tastings and continue to house the gift shop and popular Glenn’s Creek Café.

The new Welcome Center includes a main hall with seating, a ticketing area, restrooms, a bar with ornate crystal chandelier from Baccarat, and outdoor patio directly overlooking a working horse farm.

Guests will board a shuttle to cross the road, where they will experience fermentation, distillation, maturation and bottling before heading to the Visitor’s Center for their tasting.

Woodford Reserve began in 1996 and has become the world’s leading super-premium bourbon.   It is crafted on land where distilling began in 1812. The property is a National Historic Landmark.
