About The Last Refuge
The Last Refuge is the flagship restaurant, bar, and brand-experience venue from Heaven’s Door Whiskey, located in Louisville’s NuLu neighborhood. Housed inside a historic German Methodist church built in 1880, the 20,000-square-foot space has been thoughtfully transformed into what is known as the “High Church of Bourbon.”
Visitors are greeted by soaring ceilings, original stained-glass windows, vintage architectural details and dramatic touches that bridge past and present. The space includes multiple bars, an expansive event area, private patios, and a restaurant that celebrates Kentucky’s bourbon tradition in every detail.
