Daily Shuttles to Bourbon Country
Louisville’s Frazier History Museums launches service to distilleries around Kentucky
LOUISVILLE, KY –- There is a new way to experience six of the distilleries of Kentucky's signature industry. Starting November 1, Miller Transportation will provide round-trip, luxury transportation from the Frazier History Museum to a participating Kentucky Bourbon Trail® distillery for a tour and tasting. The Miller Transportation Bourbon Barrel Tours will run every day, seven days a week.
Visitors can start the day by exploring downtown Louisville's Bourbon District, a unique walkable experience with distillery attractions, one of which is the Frazier Museum. The Frazier houses the The Spirit of Kentucky® exhibit, a visual guide to the history, craft, and culture of bourbon whiskey, and the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® Welcome Center, the official starting point of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®.
Daily at 1 pm, a Miller motor coach will depart from the museum and shuttle visitors to a specific distillery. Visitors will get treated to a guided tour of the distillery and a tasting, leaving enough time to visit the gift shop before they depart. The motorcoach will arrive back at the Frazier at 5:15 pm.
Weekly shuttle schedule: Maker's Mark Distillery, Loretto (Mondays); Woodford Reserve Distillery, Versailles (Tuesdays & Thursdays); Wild Turkey Distillery, Lawrenceburg (Wednesdays); Four Roses Distillery, Lawrenceburg (Fridays); Jim Beam American Stillhouse, Clermont (Saturdays); and Heaven Hill Distillery, Bardstown (Sundays).
Tickets can be purchased online through the Miller Transportation millertransportation.com/bourbon (credit cards only) for $75 per person — that includes admission to the Frazier Museum, round-trip luxury transportation, a guided distillery tour, a tasting, and light refreshments.
